The ePrivacy Regulation should replace the ePrivacy Directive, and aims to ensure consistency across the European Union, instead of the current variations per member state.

With Brexit in three months the UK is seeking an adequacy decision that confirms that UK legislation is compliant with EU legislation. This should prepare contingencies for data governance if the UK leaves without a deal.
